Laven {Newborn portraits}

Posted on June 14, 2011

Laven arrived just in time…. for all our new baby props! We were so excited when his Mom facebooked us to set up a newborn session. He was a trooper and slept through most of his session. Here are our favorites…

Thanks for sharing this sweet baby with us for the afternoon! ~Cheryl and Nicole

We waited and waited for our friends, Paige & Tyler, to have little Jackson. Finally he is here! And he is a cutie for sure. We spent a Saturday evening capturing his newborn portraits and trying out some of our new newborn props. Here are our favorites…

Thanks for letting us completely take over your house guys! We love ya! ~Cheryl and Nicole

The blog has been soooo neglected. It’s hard to believe that it was Easter when we photographed this little cutie. Aurora was ready to cheese it up for the camera for her first Easter portraits. We thought it was time to blog her session with our favorites…

This past weekend Studio 1910 participated in the 16th annual Nixpo, which is a business showcase hosted by the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. And it was THE place to be in Nixa. Local businesses, churches and groups exhibited – food, music, giveaways, contests, face painting. It was quite an event. I am not sure how many people came through on Saturday, but it was a steady stream of people all day. Nicole and I were there for our official ribbon cutting with The Chamber on Friday night and in our booth on Saturday. We will post photos from our ribbon cutting soon. We met so many people, and met with local vendors that we will use in our business.

Our clients are the best and we were happy to feature some of our recent family portraits, senior portraits, and wedding albums in our booth.

The Chamber team who organized and managed Nixpo.

Chamber President, Sharon, made a new friend!

Studio 1910 is a proud member of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, and we had a blast at Nixpo. We are so excited to be part of the Nixa community and supporters of Be Vocal 4 Shop Local. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to say hi. We are so glad to have met so many people in the Community. We can’t wait for Nixpo next year! ~ Cheryl and Nicole

You may have noticed on the last few blog posts and some of our facebook images a new name has appeared… Studio 1910. Almost a year ago I met Nicole of Fite Fotography, and we photographed our first wedding together a few months later. At the time, I needed a second photographer for a wedding in Northwest Arkansas and this seemed like a great opportunity to make a new photography connection. For me art and photography are very personal, I take it very seriously. Although I joke about my job not seeming like work (which it doesn’t), I have worked hard and sacrified a lot to start and grow my business. Mauldin Photography has been my life blood for the past seven years, and I have not been willing to compromise my art for anything. Prior to last fall I do not think I would have even considered being a partner in business with anyone. I mean really, how often do you find someone that you click with, share the same dreams and values with, have the same business philosophies, and are completely compatible with? I never thought it possible, to tell you the truth. Then Nicole and I began working together and everything just clicked. And, I found the business partner I did not know I was looking for at the time. Honestly, it is one of the best things personally and professionally that could have happened to me.

So Studio 1910 is our shared vision. We create art and we have fun doing it – but we are passionate about it. With locations in the Springfield, Missouri area and Northeast Arkansas, we offer lifestyle wedding portraiture and are available for wedding commissions literally anywhere. Passports are current and ready to travel! We have been blessed to photograph weddings in Arkansas and Missouri, as well as destination weddings in Key West and Orange Beach this past year.

If you are a fan of mine on facebook, you’ve seen the posts about Studio 1910. I have invited all my friends and fans over to the Studio 1910 fan page. Eventually as our business comes together, all content will post on the Studio 1910 fan page. Honestly we have been so busy photographing weddings, seniors and families that we have not had time to donate to our new website.

With Studio 1910 you get the creative energies of two award winning photographers, capturing the emotions and details of your wedding day from two different perspectives and angles… although as I edit I find often find that we have photographed the exact same thing. I am always amused by that. Our goal is to give our exclusive wedding clients a one-of-a-kind experience with their wedding photographers. Studio 1910 offers a complete line of masterpiece wall portraits, wall art, and custom-designed wedding albums and coffeetable books. Photography IS our passion and I cannot wait to see where our dreams take us! ~ Cheryl

We also photograph families, babies, seniors, events, groups, teams, sports, and just about everything else you can think of. Become a friend, a fan, or “like” of Studio 1910 on facebook. Blogsite coming soon to studio1910.net!

I spent a fun hour yesterday with the McGuire family meeting Easton and Gracie. Easton just turned three months old and we started his Baby’s First Year portraits. He had lots of smiles for me…. until I picked up the camera. Gracie is another story, she is quite the camera ham. Here are my favorites from their session:

Johnny and Amie, thanks for asking me to do this this. You have a beautiful family! ~ Cheryl
