Congratulations Markee & Bradley! {Springfield Missouri Wedding Photographers}
Posted on January 24, 2012
Nicole was driving to work one morning and saw the words, “Will you marry me Markee” spelled out with styrofoam cups on the foot bridge over Campbell Avenue. We talked about it all morning, and she made it her project of the week to find “Markee”. It actually only took a simple face book post, and Markee emailed Nicole, with an “I heard you were looking for me.” God, I love facebook!
Through facebook we learned more about Markee and Bradley, and their awesome love story. We loved it, and wanted to share it with you, along with some of their engagement photos. So here is the story of Markee and Bradley, in Markee’s own words…
“We met because we worked together at ruby Tuesday in Nixa. We both had significant others that we were very serious about, so we decided to start hanging out and going on some double dates together. We all became very good friends over the next four months as we all hung out more and more. Unfortunately, both of our relationships came to tragic ends for different reasons. Bradley, still being a friend of mine, helped me as I made the hectic move to Springfield. Over the next month of settling into my new apartment, Bradley and I became even closer and even considered starting a relationship, though we were initially worried about how quickly we were jumping back into dating after the end of such serious relationships. We took it slow, but began to officially date, which is a lot like being best friends, only you hug more and hold hands during movies
Anyway, over the next year we felt that our relationship was a gift to us, and after much consideration and prayer we began to plan a life together.
And the story of the styrofoam cups on the side of the bridge… “We were running errands in Springfield on a warm August day, and he decided to take me to a ‘surprise dessert’. He said I had to close my eyes and if I guessed what it was I would get an extra surprise. I went through the normal desserts (ice cream, frozen yogurt, cake, ect), but I was never right. He said I got one last chance, and he led me inside and told me to breathe in. As I did it was very obvious that we were in Starbucks. I got my java chip frap and he asked if I wanted my other surprise? Of course I said yes, and he led me outside. We were at the Starbucks on Campbell, across from Steak n Shake. He took me into the parking lot and told me to look up. It took me a minute, but I finally looked up at the footbridge and saw “Will you marry me Markee?” spelled out with styrofoam cups.
I said yes.

On January 7, 2012 Markee and Bradley got married! We couldn’t be happier for them. Awesome couple that we are so glad that we met and got to know. Although the first planned engagement session turned out to be on a freak monsoon day, the second session’s weather was perfect with blue skies. Enjoy some of our favorite images from their sessions.

The infamous footbridge!

We had fun at Vintage Vice!

Aren’t they just adorable?!? We couldn’t be happier for them, and wish them a lifetime of friendship, love, laughter, fun and love! ~ Cheryl and Nicole

We are planning a wedding! {Garvin Gardens wedding}
Posted on May 25, 2011
My daughter, Brittany, is officially engaged!!!!!

We are accustomed to wedding days and brides. It all seems second nature. I photographed my first wedding… well… let’s just say hair bands were still “in” when I photographed my first wedding. In a typical year most of our weekends are occupied with wedding days. Now that Brittany is engaged we are in full “wedding planning mode”. She’s been planning her dream wedding for years. She has “the Monica book”. Any Friends fans out there… you know what a Monica book is! But when I try to think of all the details we have to handle, you would think I had never been involved in anyone’s wedding day.
The date is set… August 11, 2012. Thank God for over a year to plan! The venue is set… Anthony Chapel at Garvin Gardens. But there are literally hundreds of other details, and options, and plans, and decisions. Lord, I have a whole new appreciation for our brides! It’s exciting, but scary at the same time, overwhelming at times, and work! I’m going to try to soak up every memory of it, because she’s my baby and it is so very exciting. And two words will get us through it all…. Wedding Planner! But I promise now I understand when a bride forgets to return my email… or lets it slip her mind to email back the wedding worksheet… or whatever other kinds of dysfunction can happen. Because now I realize all the other hundreds of details you are trying to keep track of. LOL I may have to reach out to our network of brides for advice in this process – 911!
This is a special day for our family, and I know in the end it will all come together… wedding days always do. And, we get to officially bring Alex into our family… even though he’s really already been here for six years. Let the wedding planning begin! – Cheryl

Studio 1910 At The 16th Annual Nixpo {Missouri Photographer}
Posted on March 25, 2011

This past weekend Studio 1910 participated in the 16th annual Nixpo, which is a business showcase hosted by the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. And it was THE place to be in Nixa. Local businesses, churches and groups exhibited – food, music, giveaways, contests, face painting. It was quite an event. I am not sure how many people came through on Saturday, but it was a steady stream of people all day. Nicole and I were there for our official ribbon cutting with The Chamber on Friday night and in our booth on Saturday. We will post photos from our ribbon cutting soon. We met so many people, and met with local vendors that we will use in our business.
Our clients are the best and we were happy to feature some of our recent family portraits, senior portraits, and wedding albums in our booth.

The Chamber team who organized and managed Nixpo.

Chamber President, Sharon, made a new friend!

Studio 1910 is a proud member of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, and we had a blast at Nixpo. We are so excited to be part of the Nixa community and supporters of Be Vocal 4 Shop Local. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to say hi. We are so glad to have met so many people in the Community. We can’t wait for Nixpo next year! ~ Cheryl and Nicole
