We are so excited about our booth at the 4th Annual Delta Visual Art Show this weekend in downtown Newport. We will feature our fine art line of photography at the show, with some new photographic mediums this year. If you haven’t seen our photographic prints on metal or acrylic – come out this weekend. Some original Greyhound and St. Louis Cardinal art will be featured.

Over 100 artists will be participating and there is something for everyone. Plan to spend the day in downtown Newport, enjoying the hisotrical architecture, arts from the Delta, and taking in a demonstration or workshop. This is the place to be Saturday from 10 – 6. See you downtown! ~ Cheryl and Nicole

It’s that time of year again! Time for the Designer’s Choice Fashion Preview! I have to admit this is one of our favorite events of the year. This past weekend Studio 1910 participated in the 16th annual Nixpo, which is a business showcase hosted by the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce. And it was THE place to be in Nixa. Local businesses, churches and groups exhibited – food, music, giveaways, contests, face painting. It was quite an event. I am not sure how many people came through on Saturday, but it was a steady stream of people all day. Nicole and I were there for our official ribbon cutting with The Chamber on Friday night and in our booth on Saturday. We will post photos from our ribbon cutting soon. We met so many people, and met with local vendors that we will use in our business.

Our clients are the best and we were happy to feature some of our recent family portraits, senior portraits, and wedding albums in our booth.

The Chamber team who organized and managed Nixpo.

Chamber President, Sharon, made a new friend!

Studio 1910 is a proud member of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, and we had a blast at Nixpo. We are so excited to be part of the Nixa community and supporters of Be Vocal 4 Shop Local. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to say hi. We are so glad to have met so many people in the Community. We can’t wait for Nixpo next year! ~ Cheryl and Nicole

On March 15th, Ms. Sylvia Condra celebrated her 100th birthday. We were so happy to be able to photograph her big birthday celebration. Ms. Sylvia who was born in the William Howard Taft administration and has lived through 18 presidents, received a letter from Barack Obama with birthday wishes from the White House.

The Poinsett County Judge came out to proclaim March 15th Sylvia Condra Day.

Ms. Sylvia credits her long life to two things: drinking Coca Cola from a glass bottle every day, and having a glass of wine every night. We both enjoyed getting to know Ms. Sylvia and hearing all the stories she had to tell. Ms Sylvia in her own words, “I am a lucky person. I have had a wonderful life with a wonderful family.” Happy Birthday, Ms. Sylvia!

Thank you Ms. Judy and Jill for asking us to photograph this great celebration! ~ Cheryl and Nicole
